Mixed Media Project

(a photo of mine, its a building along the booth bridge)

Well my tickets are booked, my calendar is marked counting down the days, and my bags are eagerly waiting to be packed. That's right I am coming to visit Ottawa thanks to my amazing boyfriend! Now since my latest realization that I want to start shooting some more fashion and editorial type shoots I really wanted to jump on the chance of bring able to work in a different city with people from other citys. I have really wanted to create something a bit different from just a typical photo, so Kyle and I are planning on collaborating on a Mixed Media piece together. He is an amazing drawer and currently in the animation program at Algonquin College. I figured this would be a great opportunity for us to work on something together while I am visiting and we will be able to continue putting it together when I return to Edmonton.

Since it will be winter time when i am there I really wanted to use the elements that will be available to us. We have decided to go for a gothic/glamour theme with a bit of a Tim Burton feel to it. I think the best way to describe my vision of it is Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissor Hands meets high fashion. The main photography subject(s) will be photographed outside, hopefully in the snow, with a hill behind them. The main background piece will be a drawn old creepy house that will be on top of the hill. We plan to add other drawn objects to add to the feel of the photo. This project idea is a work in progress, and the ideas are continuously growing and growing. If you want to take part in this in anyway or know someone who may be interested please get in contact with me. We could use anyone such as makeup artists, clothing designers, hairstylists, lighting experts, assistant, anything really!
