Sunday Stroll

I went for a nice walk with my siblings and the pooch on Sunday on one of the walking paths in Morinville and got some shots around the stream and little pond situatied in the middle of a field. My camera captured some great fall colours, you cant really see the same colours on here but trust me they are pretty! I finally have started playing around with manual focus and by god do I love how I have sooo much more power over what the result is. The last picture is taken on a road right near my house, there are so many of those speed zone signs painted on the road around here, I figured I could do something fun with one of them, I was planning on making it all oddly coloured just to have fun but really ended up likeing the photo and the leading curve in it. Now you guys have a bit of a taste of what I live around.

Saturday Retro Hour

Living in Morinville has left me with a lot of time at home the past 2 week that I have been here. Yesterday was a pretty good Saturday though. My siblings and I made a yummy cake, my sister and I figured it would be great to decorate it in an obscenely girly way to bother my brother...turns out cake is just cake underneath all the pretty pink frosting. I spent the majority of the afternoon reliving my childhood by watching Teletoon Retro...it was awesome to watch some of my favourite cartoons again but made me feel a little aged since they are being called Retro! I was watching the episode of the Jetsons where Elroy ends up being sent out to space to Mars I believe and comes back as an old geezer.



In the evening we all laid around munching on junk food and watched Iron Man 2, after watching the first one the night before. I can't say I am to much of a fan of the second one I think it was just another one of those filler movies to tie Iron Man into The Avengers movie. But it still has some awesome scenes.
